All content on this site (text, layout, visual identity, the "Compar'Car" logo, the vehicle database) is protected by intellectual property law and remains the property of COMPAR CAR, unless stated otherwise. Any reproduction, representation or reuse, in whole or in part, without prior authorization is prohibited. The trademarks, logos and visuals of car manufacturers referenced or displayed on the site remain the property of their respective owners. Their presence is for informational and comparative purposes only, and does not imply any partnership, sponsorship or endorsement by the manufacturers concerned, unless explicitly stated otherwise (brands flagged as partners).
Users' personal data
Data controller: COMPAR CAR (contact details above). 1. Data collected and purposes • Form to access results: name, phone number, e-mail address and postcode, your two choices (not to be contacted for advertising purposes; to be put in touch with professionals), your profile (budget, usage, mileage, children, charging, preferences) and the vehicles you selected with their ranking. This data is used to display your ranking and e-mail you a summary of your comparison (performance of the service you requested), to let the Compar'Car team know that a comparison was made and to measure use of the service (legitimate interest), and, only if you ticked the box to be put in touch, to connect you with professionals (consent). • Test-drive request: name, phone, e-mail, postcode, preferred timing, vehicle concerned, rank in your comparison and profile, stored with your explicit consent to arrange the test drive with a professional in your area. • The ranking and score are computed automatically from your profile. They have no legal effect on you and do not commit you to anything. • Your profile and vehicle selection are also kept in your browser (local storage), which you can clear at any time. 2. Recipients • Partner professionals in your department: if you ticked the box to be put in touch, or if you requested a test drive, your full project (contact details, profile, vehicles and ranking) is sent by e-mail to the partners of your department. The department is deduced from the first two digits of your postcode (for example 30xxx for Gard). If you did not tick that box and did not request a test drive, no information is passed to any partner. Each partner undertakes to use this data only to respond to your project, not to resell it and to respect your right to object; once received, they process it under their own responsibility. • Our technical providers, who act on our instructions: OVH (hosting, Roubaix, France) and Brevo (e-mail delivery). • Your data is never sold or passed on to any other third party. 3. Retention period Data collected through the form to access results and test-drive requests is kept for 12 months at most from collection, then deleted automatically. 4. Your rights Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, write to contact@comparcar.fr (or simply reply to the summary e-mail you received). You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Partner professionals' data
Professionals who ask to become partners ("Become a partner" form) provide us with their company name, contact person, a business e-mail address and phone number, the departments they cover, the brands they represent and, optionally, a message. This data is used only to handle the request, to communicate with the professional and, where applicable, to forward them the purchase projects of their department. It is accessible to the Compar'Car team. Partnership requests are kept for 12 months at most from receipt, then deleted; an active partner's contact details are kept for the duration of the relationship. The rights described above apply in the same way (contact@comparcar.fr).

The site may contain links to third-party sites (partners, manufacturers, financing or insurance providers). Compar'Car has no control over these sites and disclaims any responsibility for their content or practices.
Limitation of liability
The information published on the site (prices, monthly payments, technical specifications, personalized score) is provided for guidance only and does not constitute a binding commercial offer. New-vehicle prices are entry-level list prices collected from public sources; used-vehicle prices and mileage are estimates computed by Compar'Car from the new price and the age of the vehicle, and are not market valuations. This information may change and should be verified with the relevant professionals before any purchase or financing decision. Compar'Car cannot be held liable for decisions made based on this information.
Governing law
This site and this legal notice are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
