Paris Motor Show 2026: dates, prices, brands attending and new models to watch
The Paris Motor Show returns for its 91st edition, from 12 to 18 October 2026, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Monday 12 October is reserved for the press: the general public is admitted from Tuesday 13 to Sunday 18. For anyone planning a purchase, it is a chance to see, compare and test in a single day models you would never find together at one dealership.
Opening hours and prices
According to the official website, the show is open from 9:30 am to 8 pm Tuesday to Thursday, from 9:30 am to 10 pm on Friday, from 9 am to 10 pm on Saturday and from 9 am to 6:30 pm on Sunday. The halls stay lit during the Friday and Saturday late openings, with last entry at 9 pm.
Online tickets are listed at 20 euros on weekdays, 22 euros at weekends and 17 euros for the evening sessions. The reduced rate is 13 euros for 7 to 17-year-olds, students and visitors with disabilities. On site, prices are higher (22 euros on weekdays and 24 euros at weekends), so buying online in advance is cheaper.
Getting there
The main entrance is Gate A2. The venue is served by Metro line 12 (Porte de Versailles station) and by trams T2 and T3b. Two car parks, P6 and P7, are close to the show. Test drives and experience areas are grouped in Hall 7.
Who will be there, and who will be missing
According to Caradisiac, the show will bring together more than 100 exhibitors, including more than 60 manufacturers, over about 70,000 square metres indoors and 15,000 outdoors. Renault Group (Renault, Dacia and Alpine) announces more than 50 vehicles, alongside Stellantis (Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat, Opel, Lancia and DS), Mercedes and Volkswagen.
Chinese manufacturers are well represented: BYD, Chery, Xpeng, Lynk & Co, Leapmotor, as well as Omoda and Jaecoo. Conversely, BMW, Mini, Nissan and Toyota are not taking part. If one of their models is on your shortlist, you will need to go through a dealership.
Announced new models
Several reveals are announced: the Alpine A110 Future, the Dacia Hipster, Evader and Striker, the DS N°7, the Lancia Gamma, the four-door electric Mercedes-AMG GT and the updated GLA, the new Smart Fortwo, the Volkswagen ID. Polo, ID.3 Neo and ID. Cross, and the Leapmotor B03. This list comes from the specialist press and may change before opening: it should be confirmed with the manufacturers.
For a tight budget, it is mainly the affordable electric city cars that deserve attention. The specialist press mentions the Dacia Hipster, described as a technical cousin of the electric Renault Twingo, whose entry level is quoted from 19,490 euros before incentives. Final prices and equipment should be checked on the stands.
Planning your visit when you are shopping for a car
A show makes you want to look at everything; a buyer does better arriving with a plan. A few pointers: first set an all-inclusive monthly ceiling (instalment, insurance, energy, maintenance) rather than a purchase price; pick three or four models to really compare, with different powertrains; note for each the usable space, the real winter range if it is electric, and the standard equipment; and use the Hall 7 test drives to try them in conditions close to your own use.
Also think about used cars: a new model seen at the show often has a recent used equivalent at a gentler price, with depreciation already absorbed.
